โš  Age does not quite fitThe age reads 54, which would put his birth around 1851 to 1852. The GEDCOM and the Girvan baptism give 17 Nov 1849, which would make him 56. The digits are hard to read, so this may be a misreading or an error in the register.

Other names
857 Gilmour, Margaret, and 858 to 865 are other households at number 19
โ„น Who is whoAgnes M. W. is Agnes Wood Gavigan (Hugh junior's wife). Hugh is Hugh junior (the soldier), and Hugh J. is Hugh Joseph, his son. Peter is their son Peter, born 1916. Of the two Margarets, one is probably Hugh Joseph's wife Margaret Sarah and Margaret B. is probably Margaret Brock Gavigan. Margaret Gavigan, born 1913, Hugh senior's daughter, is another possible match.
โ„น Hugh junior was aliveIf this is the 1949 to 1950 register, Hugh Gavigan junior, the soldier, was still alive at about 74. His death has not been found yet.
โš  Margaret B.Voters had to be 21. A Margaret Brock Gavigan born in 1932 would not be on a register in 1950, while one born on 18 August 1928, as the Galloway tree has her, would be. The birth index entry (Calton 1932) and the death index entry in 1983 (age 51) both point to 1932, so the roll is unexplained. Margaret B. may be a different person, or the date of the roll may be later than 1950.
โ„น The dateThe file name says 1950. The part of the page photographed has no year.

Schedule no.
37The schedule number looks like 34 in the handwriting, but it follows schedule 36 and comes before 38 on the page, so 37 is the likely number.

โš  Hugh's age and birthplace do not match the GEDCOMThe census gives Hugh's age as 35, which points to a birth around 1875 or 1876. The GEDCOM had 19 June 1870 at Ballyshannon, Co Donegal, backed by an index entry in the research folder (Ireland Births and Baptisms, Ballyshannon, 19 June 1870, father Hugh Gavigan, mother Florinda Elliott). The 1881, 1891 and 1901 censuses all agree with age 35 here (5, 15 and 25), so the tree now shows a Glasgow birth about 1875 or 1876. The Ballyshannon baby was probably an earlier Hugh who died young. The birthplace column here is ditto marks, carried down from a Glasgow-born household above, so on its own it proves little. Two things help. The earlier censuses name Glasgow in full. And on this page the census clerks wrote the Irish-born code (a blue 37) beside every Irish-born person in the birthplace column, but not beside Hugh or anyone in his household.
โ„น The marriage details fit the treeAgnes is recorded as married 11 years with 4 children born and 4 living. That fits her marriage to Hugh on 3 April 1899 (11 complete years on census night) and the four children listed: Mary, Thomas, Hugh and Francis.
โ„น Two children are new to the treeThomas (aged 6) and Francis (aged 1 month) are not in the GEDCOM. They have been added as supplementary people and are marked as such on their pages. Mary and Hugh match the existing records for Mary (about 1900) and Hugh Joseph (born 10 October 1906).
โ„น Reading the handwritingThis table was transcribed from the handwritten schedule image. The industry reads 'Fish Salesman', but the handwriting is hard to read, so check it against the image above.

โš  Agnes and Susannah are a medium-confidence matchThe two grandchildren are Susannah (7) and Agnes. They fit Susannah Wood (born 1874) and Agnes Wood (born 24 April 1876), daughters of Thomas Wood, and Thomas is in the house. The tree has Agnes as the daughter of Thomas and Mary Macmillan, but Mary is not in this household. The ages of both children are hard to read.
โš  Two babies listed as William's childrenIsabella (7 months) and William (9 months) cannot both be the baby of William and Isabella Wood, who also have John (2). The tree has John (1879) and Isabella (about 1881) only. One of the infants may belong to Thomas, or an age is misread.
โš  Birthplace of JohnJohn Wood is born at Springburn, Lanarkshire. The tree has him born in Dundee in 1821. The 1861 and 1871 censuses also say Glasgow.
